Pat Robertson, a so-called Christian leader, is infamous for saying completely ridiculous things in the name of God, does it yet again…. evidently God punished the Haitians for “making a pact with the devil” in order to be released from French rule. Frankly, the kind of things this man says are so far beyond comprehensible that I wonder whether he is mentally ill. I simply can’t fathom someone saying such insensitive, ignorant, and misguided things so consistently unless they are mentally ill or insane. See the story here.
As a follower of Jesus, I wholly condemn Pat Robertson, his absurd statements, and any offense this has caused to those who might misunderstand entirely what it is to follow Jesus on the basis of this moron’s actions.

I agree wholeheartedly with you..He can sit in his $25,000 suits and make judgment calls such as that. I believe he made similar remarks with the devastation of Katrina. He in my opinion is corrupt. Money and Power have great influence. He should follow Jesus’s commandment and give all of his wealth to the poor. Then perhaps I might respect him.
